Columbus License Renewal & CE Requirements

Know your OH license requirements and fulfill them this year at Premiere Columbus

To renew your license, you must complete:

✔ 1-Hour Board Laws and Rules Course (Only provided by the Board via CE Broker)

✔ 3-Hour Infection Control & Safety Course

Deadlines:

Barber CE hours due: August 15, 2028
Cosmetology CE hours due: January 15, 2027

If you are required to complete CE hours, and those hours are NOT completed by the deadline, you will not be able to complete your license renewal until new CE courses become available. If a license is NOT renewed by the expiration date of the license held, a late fee will be charged.

Not licensed in the state of Ohio? If your licensed state requires CEs, please reach out to your State Board of Cosmetology & Barbering directly to see how you can get CE credit.

Renewal of a License is a 2 -Step Process

Complete all required CE hours. Completion of CE hours is reported to CE Broker by the Provider of the CE class.

Go to the eLicense Ohio Professional Licensure System and log in to your Elicense account. Complete the renewal application and submit the required fee(s).

If you completed a Continuing Education (CE) class at Premiere, the educator will be uploading your information to the state board for the CEs. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding your CE credits in regards to this class, please contact the educator directly.
